Organiser payment terms

How ticket payments, release of your proceeds and repayment obligations work on Pastime.

Your agreement

These terms apply between you, the event organiser, and MASIKA LTD, which operates Pastime. They supplement our Terms of Use. You must explicitly accept this version before setting up payouts or selling tickets. We record your account, the version and the time you accept. Stripe also requires its own connected account agreement.

Ticket price and booking fee

You set the ticket price. The customer pays that price plus Pastime’s booking fee of 7% of the ticket price plus 59p per ticket, rounded to the nearest penny. For a £20 ticket, the customer pays £21.99 and your ticket allocation is £20. Pastime pays Stripe’s normal processing and Connect costs from its fee. That fee is not all profit.

When you receive money

For bookings made under these terms, your ticket proceeds become eligible for release three days after the event ends. Stripe processing, account verification and bank arrival take additional time. You must keep your payout details accurate and complete Stripe’s verification requirements. We do not promise an exact bank arrival date.

We may hold proceeds while investigating a cancellation, refund, suspected fraud, chargeback or unpaid amount associated with your account. We will explain the reason and how to contact us about it. Holds are reviewed and limited to what is reasonably necessary, subject to Stripe’s requirements. This is not an escrow service. Earlier bookings keep their existing payment arrangements. Paid bookings open 80 days before an event ends.

Cancellations and refunds

You are responsible for delivering the event as advertised and telling attendees promptly about changes or cancellations. If you cancel, attendees receive a full refund including the booking fee. The corresponding ticket proceeds are no longer payable to you; if already released, you must repay them. Other refund requests are handled under the terms shown at booking and applicable consumer rights.

Chargebacks and amounts owed

A chargeback is a payment challenged through the customer’s bank. You must help us respond promptly with accurate event, attendance and customer communication records. We cannot guarantee the bank’s decision. Where a chargeback arises from your event or failure to meet your obligations, you are responsible for the ticket proceeds lost and the actual dispute costs charged to Pastime, except to the extent caused by Pastime’s own error.

We may reverse a related Stripe transfer and, where permitted, offset amounts you owe against future proceeds. We will provide an itemised explanation and a way to challenge an error. Any remaining amount must be repaid following that review. We do not recover the same amount twice and will adjust amounts owed if money or fees are subsequently recovered.

Records and questions

We retain the booking details, accepted terms, payment records and relevant event evidence needed to handle refunds and disputes, under our Privacy Policy. Do not upload payment card details or unnecessary sensitive information. Use our contact page for payout questions, a breakdown of an amount owed or to challenge a hold. Nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
